Rasmussen: Not only is the House up for grabs but the Senate still is even after O'Donnell win in Delaware.

After the O'Donnell win in Delaware Rasmussen put the possibility for Senate control by Republicans out of reach but maybe that win has drawn more attention and has put other races in play and caused excitement for the GOP nationwide and elsewhere. I don't know for sure but it has me anyways. I believe more are watching this election then maybe ever before and news of an O'Donnell win in Delaware may actually cause some wondering about the GOP to get a bit more excited nationwide that the GOP is on the right track and will become more conservative than in a long time. For more recent and interesting polls see Breaking: NBC forced to admit more Americans see the Tea Party as good for America and want ObamaCare repealed according to their own poll that are only 24% Fox News viewers and Chris Mathews of Liberal slanted MSNBC admits that America is "Basically Conservative" and Gallup polls shows that Americans are 3 times more likely to view our media as "too liberal" than "too conservative"..

Rasmussen just updated their Senate Balance for Power watch in the Senate. The score so far according to Rasmussen Reports polling is:

Democrats 49

Republicans 47

With 4 Toss Ups

This means Republicans still have a chance at taking over the Senate as most believe they will take over the House. The Senate is much harder since not nearly enough seats are in play as the House all seats are in play. This is the latest from Rasmussen see Senate Balance of Power: Dems 49 GOP 47 Toss-Ups 4 for more and the trends since 07/06/2010.

Gianna Jessen vs President Obama on Christianity and Abortion and Grace

Gianna Jessen took on our current President before he was elected our President and Gianna "lost" (see Videos: Gianna Jessen compilation of You Tube videos here). But as you will see in speech below at a Walk for Life West Coast event in San Francisco in February of 2008 I doubt Gianna believes she "lost" for God is in it for the long haul and so should we. As you watch this video and if you have been involved in an abortion in one way or the other and feel the guilt that should result from any sin as abortion is one among many. Let Gianna Jessen speak to your heart as she is full of the mercy of Christ and extends that mercy to you as an abortion survivor. Who but knows that if your aborted child could live that they would be extending the same mercy to you in Christ and may the healing begin. Also see Testimony of the very Roe of Roe v Wade after finding forgiveness in Christ for her sins. Once abortion activist now trying to reverse Roe v Wade and Post Abortive Testimonies

Here is our President from just this last week on abortion and Christianity in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Just keep in mind that under Clinton and Obama American tax payers like Gianna Jessen above have been forced to fund abortions worldwide via taxes and Clinton would not allow the banning of Partial-Birth abortion and vetoed it twice. So for Obama to talk like this doesn't match the record it is pure political talk. See The record of our anti-life President as compiled by LifeNews.com

Notice both claim to be Christians and this is not to doubt the Christianity of either our President or Gianna even though I believe it is legitimate to test the fruits as the scriptures teach us to do so. But I do believe that our President on the issue of abortion that his public policies do not accurately reflect the beliefs of Christianity as he claims. Watch below...

Gianna Jessen was being "safely" aborted by a licensed and lawfully abiding abortionist as are many others maybe right now as I type. Go back and watch Gianna Jessen speak of Christ and her life and how she survived an abortion and ask yourself what policy would better reflect the views of Christ. A policy that is rooted in a woman's right to choose whether or not to take the life of that unborn child meaning that the unborn child really has not rights or a policy that is rooted in the right to life of an unborn child meaning that a woman doesn't have a right to choose to take that life.

Clearly Gianna was just as much human before and after the attempted abortion. Surely somebody isn't going to argue that she was less human when she was being burnt to death and all the sudden became more human as she survived the burning. I mean that is suppose to only happen in fairy tales and testing whether or not a human is a witch. I am sure most have heard of the witch trials and one way of testing whether or not a witch is a witch or not was by throwing them in the water and if they float they are a witch worthy of death and if they sink they were not a witch yet still suffered the same fate of death as the witch. This is absurd. So are those who deny the humanity of unborn children. Apparently if an unborn child survives an abortion its human!!! Whala!! If the unborn child doesn't survive an abortion it is not human. Either way pro-choicers justify their actions much like the those in the witch trials.

I heard an argument though simple on a neat movie called Come What May (click on image to left to purchase this great movie done by homeschoolers) which went like this.

Name a moment that you are positive that a human being is a human being?

Most all will say at birth.

Then ask yourself was that human being any less of a human being a moment before birth?

Most should say no.

Then ask yourself was a human being any less human a moment before viability?

Most should say no.

Then ask yourself at what moment did a human being become human?

Most should say that there is only one moment in which a human being comes into existence and that is at the very moment of conception. A miracle occurs and that is when a separate human life begins and should be protected and cared for.

Now miscarriages happen and so do accidents and nobody is to be held responsible for those but careless use of certain contraceptives and abortions are clearly dishonoring to humanity and humanity's Creator. There is no respect for life nor humanity if we are not going to take care and respect it in the beginning. Partial justice is no justice at all and partial respect for life and human is not respect at all.

Lastly let assume that none of the above nor the ultra sounds convince you that there is an unborn child in a mother's womb from conception. Maybe a question for you.

Are you 100% positive that a human being is not a human being from conception. Now if you are not 100% positive than that is ok cause neither is our President. His infamous line was that this question was above his pay grade. Maybe even some pro-lifers would admit the opposite that they are not 100% positive that life begins at conception. But then ask yourself another question.

Which position best honors and respects humanity and life?

A) The position that out of respect for humanity and life we are going to play it on the safe side rather than not and since we are not 100% for sure it is possible we are taking human life we will not abort from conception to birth.

B) The position that out of respect for humanity and life we are going to play it on the risky side rather than not and since we are not 100% for sure it is possible that we are taking human life we will abort from conception till whatever amount of weeks we are for sure.

Videos: Gianna Jessen compilation of You Tube videos here

Update just found this awesome video that I just posted at Gianna Jessen vs President Obama on Christianity and Abortion and Grace and thought it would be good here also.

Values Voter News has been getting a lot of inquiries on Gianna Jessen as one of Values Voter News posts has quickly become the most viewed post at Values Voter News which is BornAliveTruth.org introducing Gianna Jessen, the first abortion survivor to be featured in new television ad.. So I thought it would be a good idea to put together a compilation of all the You Tube videos that Values Voter News has posted on Gianna Jessen. So here we go.

Gianna Jessen speech in Queen's Hall in Australia Part 1 and 2

On Hannity and Colmes in 2008

In two television campaign ads in 2008 during Presidential election but I included for context an ad approved by Obama in response to the first ad as Gianna responds in second ad. All three are below and in order. By the way McCain did not run nor approve the ad. The ad was done by BornAliveTruth.org.

Gallup polls shows that Americans are 3 times more likely to view our media as "too liberal" than "too conservative".

Yesterday Values Voter News reported on the new Gallup poll showing that American distrust of the media is at an all time high at 57% (see Breaking: NBC forced to admit more Americans see the Tea Party as good for America and want ObamaCare repealed according to their own poll that are only 24% Fox News viewers.). Oh by the way Americans see the Tea Party as "good for America" by more than 2 times than "bad for America". In fact only 18% say they are "bad for America". So much for Americans buying into the idea that the Tea Party is racist. And that was an NBC News poll.

Now Media Research Center released an article on the new Gallup poll that reveals not just that Americans are at an all time distrust of the media but that Americans believe the media is "too liberal" 3 times as much as they believe it is "too conservative". In fact the percentage of those who say the media is "just about right" is 2 times those who say it is "too conservative". Values Voter News just reported on liberal Chris Matthews at liberal MSNBC that Chris Mathews of Liberal slanted MSNBC admits that America is "Basically Conservative". By the way of those who polled in that Politico poll Chris Matthews references 81% get there news from Cable and of those 81% MSNBC gets only a 12% share as Fox News gets 42% and CNN at 30%. Also see Anti-Tea Party networks CNN down a whopping 39% in viewership and MSNBC down 15% while Tea Party favorite Fox News has best quarter in network history.

So now ask yourself do we have a liberal media bias problem in America. Values Voter News is built around a slogan called "News and views Big Media misses". Values Voter News has a label titled Liberal Media Bias because Values Voter News agrees with most Americans in this Gallup poll. But Values Voter News feels it has learned in its short history of blogging and exposing liberal media bias that there actually is no problem with bias in America and yet we still need bias watch dogs to expose which networks are bias toward liberal or conservative.

America has a tradition and founding in "We the people..." vs "Big Government" as solutions to our problems. We tend to be as Chris Matthews stated "Basically Conservative" and that is in part what Conservative means. We tend to lean more and rely more upon "We the people..." vs the Government for solutions to our problems. Now in recent decades we have strayed from that Conservative principle by choosing to rely upon our Government so much so that if our Government fails us our economies collapse. We have fallen for the promises of Big Government politicians and so forth in one way or another. Government should never get as big and influential as it has become but unfortunately "We the people..." have allowed that as we have strayed away from the foundations of our "We the people..." roots which without our Creator that all our inalienable rights are rooted in "We the people..." will inevitably fail and evidence of that failure will be this more reliance on Government as we turn from our Creator the Government will inevitably replace Him and it won't be pretty.

Our founding fathers were not so arrogant as to root those rights in chance nor mankind nor the Government of the day nor any Government ran by men of anytime but rather in the all wise and knowing Creator of heaven and earth. After all if there is a Creator it be would irrational to root our rights in anything else but Him and to not acknowledge and respect the Creator would be offensive. Imagine Shaun White creating and landing a new move in the winter Olympics and not a soul cheering. How much more the Creator of the very heavens, earth and humanity not getting any praise for His moves without which no others are even possible? The Prophet Isaiah (see Isaiah 5:12-13) gave this as one of the very reasons why Israel as a nation went into captivity after enjoying a decent amount of freedom for some years and we would be wise to acknowledge and respect God in our actions and vote as a "people" relying upon Him above all else in our prayers and actions and then Values Voter News believes America will swerve in the right direction away from our captivity to our own debt and deficit that is continually growing as rely more and more on Big Government.

Now I just got side tracked from the issue but thought the side notes were very important for more see Cartoons and charts exposing economic consequences for America's straying from our "In God we trust" roots and One nation under God and what does it matter? and No matter how great the human resources we throw at our current crisis without God are we bound for failure? and label American Remembrance. So back to the issue at hand.

I will quote from post titled Breaking: NBC forced to admit more Americans see the Tea Party as good for America and want ObamaCare repealed according to their own poll that are only 24% Fox News viewers. in defense of my position that America doesn't have a liberal media bias problem if "We the people..." refuse to be lazy in this area and pick up the mantle with God's strength. If not then we will move toward Government control of our media and end up being that much more reliant on our Government as opposed to "We the people..." and that much more in debt and deficit captivity.

"Values Voter News solution for media bias is not Government control over the media but let it be as it is. The genius of the free market. Believe it or not we have the least bias media in the world if you look at it from this perspective. The perspective is that in America you can go to a stand or get on line for free and with no government involvement pick up a New York Times or a Wall Street Journal and get both points of view. You do not have a Government tax payer funded media that you are forced to rely upon that could more easily disadvantage the market to it's own further reliance on Big Government and debt end. You can watch an MSNBC and then head over to Fox News to get both points of view. You see we have no problem of media bias in America if we aren't lazy. And if we really don't want to be lazy we can go to CSPAN and instead of relying on the journalist to report on what the Democrat view is or the Republican view or the Moderate view or whatever, you can get it straight from the view holders themselves. For more on CSPAN see Private Sector America gives Americans the transparency they want without media bias for free and without taxation via CSPAN.

If your country matters to you as Values Voter News believes it should and you are concerned about media bias as Values Voter News believes you should as this is one of the major reasons Values Voter News exists and you do not wish to rely upon Government but rather "We the people..." than the solution is available and right before our eyes. It does require a little more of us but it's there and it depends on us or "We the people..." as opposed to those who have the most power in our Government at the moment or better simply put Big Government with all its debt and deficit.

Values Voter News would recommend CSPAN as the most balance resource and they have made it easier than ever before and are continuing to do so and it is being done the American way without relying upon our Government to do so but rather "We the people...". And even if CSPAN was not there you still can get all sorts of views and sides of the issues by going to MSNBC and FOX News and ABC and NBC or the Washington Times and then the Washington Post. If we are being biased in America it clearly is our own fault."

By the way this is not to rag on Americans but rather these polls are encouraging and it is clear that Americans are not letting themselves be biased as is evidenced with the polls in spite of liberal media bias. "We the people..." have not been lazy. Also notice that Fox News is exploding in comparison to the anti-"We the people..." and pro-rely on Big Government debt and deficit networks. Not to fail to mention the recent success of the Wall Street Journal and there are more examples. See Anti-Tea Party networks CNN down a whopping 39% in viewership and MSNBC down 15% while Tea Party favorite Fox News has best quarter in network history. and Fox News not CNN is now the "Most Trusted Name in News". Values Voter News offers solutions. and Fox News has best ratings ever in 2009 with Bill ORielly making the top cable news program 10 years straight and Evening News Ratings are down 1 million viewers a night since 06-07 season and may be at their worst viewership ever. and Wall Street Journal passes USA Today as the top selling newspaper in the US and was the only paper to increase in circulation and The only newspaper to increase in circulation in the top 25 this year compared to last is once again the Wall Street Journal. and American confidence in television news at lowest point ever according to Gallup polls.

Big "We the people..." are defeating Big Media and Big Government the American way without relying on Big Government debt and deficit but rather by limiting reliance on Big Government debt and deficit. But we have a long way to go so keep humble and keep trusting in and praising our Big God that most of our founders trusted in during the founding of this free nation. Jefferson probably not as Christian as most of our founding fathers were and maybe not a Christian at all in an Biblical sense of the word but was clearly influence by the Christianity that was so influential at the time said this “God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.”

So as our Presidents swear on the Bible "So help me (us) God" and let us rely upon our awesome Creator and vote as if "We the people..." and our Creator matter.

For another admission from NBC see Breaking: NBC forced to admit more Americans see the Tea Party as good for America and want ObamaCare repealed according to their own poll that are only 24% Fox News viewers.

One reason why Clinton has high approval ratings is because under Clinton they balanced the budget with a surplus. What many need to know is that he did that joined with a Republican led Congress. Remember 1994. See President Obama points us in the right direction as he answers the question: Why should Americans trust Democrats to reduce government spending and debt? and Video: Watch the Pledge to America announcement and the 1994 Contract with America. Gun and ammunition sales boom since late '08 as crimes from rape to violent plumets

Related: Video: Molotov Mitchel gets us inside an American militia group securing our borders and video of American militia leaders speaking before the Senate in 1995

In January of this year the FBI released a report that showed less murder, robbery, rape and property crime as gun sales and ammunition sales rocketed in late '08 and early '09. See Gun sales rocket in late '08 and early '09 as murder, robbery, rape and property crime plummet reports the FBI

I am sure some anti-Second Amendment groups and leftists were concerned about the increase sales in guns and ammunition that would accidentally go off or that would increase violent crime incidents. Well the FBI just released yet another excellent trend as gun sales increase crime decreases. CNSNews.com reports in an article titled Violent Crime Declined As Gun Sales Climbed in 2009

"Violent crime continued to fall in 2009, even as gun sales reached an all-time high, according to statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)....

Released Tuesday, the violent crime statistics are part of the FBI’s yearly Uniform Crime Report, which collects crime statistics from localities all across the country and is the most comprehensive report on crime in America.

According to the FBI, the number of violent crimes of all types declined in 2009 by 5.3 percent and property crimes declined 4.6 percent. In fact, the rate of violent crime declined 6.1 percent below 2008 figures....

“Each of the four violent crime offenses decreased when compared with the 2008 estimates. Murder and non-negligent manslaughter and robbery had the largest decreases: 7.3 percent and 8.0 percent, respectively,” the FBI said in a press release summarizing the report. “In addition, aggravated assault decreased 4.2 percent, and forcible rape declined 2.6 percent.”

In fact, the types of crime most likely to be committed with a firearm, murders and manslaughters, experienced one of the greatest rates of decline in 2009 – 7.3 percent."

Check out 2 minute or so speech by House Republican Minority Leader John Boehner calling on the House to not adjourn until they have a vote on the Bush tax cuts. This was close as it did not pass by 1 vote. You can watch the vote results at about 2:30:00 02:36:00. John Boehner's speech is at about 02:09:30 into the video. Update: The final deciding vote was no other than yours truly the least popular congressman I mean woman I believe ever in the history of polling approval ratings Nancy Pelosi. Never again should San Francisco run our House against the will of the majority of American people. Unbelievable.

Breaking: NBC forced to admit more Americans see the Tea Party as good for America and want ObamaCare repealed according to their own poll that are only 24% Fox News viewers.

Media Research Center reports that in a new NBC News poll shows that 42% of Americans believe the Tea Party is a good thing for Politics vs only 18% who believe it is a bad thing. So much for the left's view of the Tea Party as "racist" as being a mainstream view. This is inspite of all the negative attacks against the Tea Party. Makes you wonder if there was balanced reporting on the Tea Party how that would have effected the poll outcomes even more.

It appears Americans are not buying the slanderous comments of the Tea Party in the media. In fact check this out: Hot air reports on the new Gallup poll that shows Americans have their highest distrust in the media to date. In fact of all the cable news channels MSNBC known for Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews constant attacks on the Tea Party has a 12% viewership compared to Fox News 42% which reflects well the NBC News poll above according to Politico's recent poll. More evidence of that see Anti-Tea Party networks CNN down a whopping 39% in viewership and MSNBC down 15% while Tea Party favorite Fox News has best quarter in network history. and Fox News not CNN is now the "Most Trusted Name in News". Values Voter News offers solutions.

Now back to further findings from the NBC News poll. It shows that 54% of those polled “hope that this Tea Party enthusiasm in the Republican Party makes them a fiscally conservative party”. This may be the reason why many view the Tea Party as a positive. But not only that but and “54 percent want to see the repeal of health care.”.

Another interesting note to make of this finding is that in the poll it polled what news source those polled got most of their information from. 35% from NBC, ABC, or CBS and second was Fox News at 24% then CNN at 16% and MSNBC at 8% than lastly "none of these" at 16%. So this means 76% of those polled have this opinion not by watching mostly Fox News but by mostly watching some other source!!

In the Politico poll above it also revealed that 79% of those polled get information about elections via "Conversations with friends and family". See page 8 after clicking here. Maybe this is why most are not believing MSNBC when it comes to the slanderous claims of racism in the Tea Party. Could it be because just as much as 81% of people who get their news of elections from cable sources according to this poll shows they also get news of elections from 79% of their friends and family which clearly they know are not racists and therefore a drop in ratings for MSNBC and a spike in Fox News cause they know MSNBC is reporting lies whereas Fox News is more balanced and exposing the lies.

Values Voter News solution for media bias is not Government control over the media but let it be as it is. The genius of the free market. Believe it or not we have the least bias media in the world if you look at it from this perspective. The perspective is that in America you can go to a stand or get on line for free and with no government involvement pick up a New York Times or a Wall Street Journal and get both points of view. You do not have a Government tax payer funded media that you are forced to rely upon that could more easily disadvantage the market to it's own further reliance on Government end. You can watch an MSNBC and then head over to Fox News to get both points of view. You see we have no problem of media bias in America if you aren't lazy. And if you really don't want to be lazy you can go to CSPAN and instead of relying on the journalist to report on what the Democrat view is or the Republican view or the Moderate view or whatever, you can get it straight from the view holders themselves. Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Commentary on second debate.

Update: For all debates between Susana Martinez and Diane Denish see NM GOVERNOR DEBATES: CLICK HERE TO WATCH 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD NM GOVERNOR DEBATE ONLINE AND PRE-PRIMARY INTERVIEWS

Here is my humble commentary on the recent debate between Diane Denish and Susana Martinez which you can watch along with much more on the candidates at Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Watch second debate online and compilation of their first debate with pre-primary interviews

I found the debate unfortunately rather boring. I don't know if it was the video, the sound or what not but Diane doesn't come off as well as she did in the first debate but neither did Susana. Susana won this debate I believe with an answer to every criticism and when it comes to believability it is a little hard to believe Diane as she has been second in command over the past 8 years which Susana is rightly banking on.

The only moral issue brought up was the issue of domestic partnerships and same sex marriage. Both claimed they did not support same sex marriage and Susan remained strong against domestic partnership bills for same sex couples whereas Diane did support them which was nothing new but a clear difference. Diane is inconsistent here cause if her reasoning is for domestic partnership bills for civil rights purposes than why not same sex marriage for the same reason. That is what a California judge ruled on Prop 8 in California that struck down the will of the people!!! Many oppose domestic partnership bills for this very reason cause they do not believe in same sex marriage and see it as a threat to religious liberty and rightly so. For more on Values Voter News views on same sex marriage see label Same Sex Marriage.

Unfortunately abortion never came up but for an interview before the primaries on this subject see Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Watch second debate online and compilation of their first debate with pre-primary interviews.

Again Diane's arguments seem to fall on deaf ears and unconvincing. Maybe it is because I am biased toward Susana and it is hard for Diane to disconnect herself from Richardson and our current unpopular Government which Diane has been Lt. Governor or second in command for the last 8 years. Diane is in big trouble as far as I can see. Values Voter News continues to spot Martinez at least a 5% plus point victory and is tempted to up that.

For Values Voter News commentary on the last debate which to me was more exciting see Susana Martinez to Diane Denish in first debate between the two: We need to give Diane the "pink slip". and Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Missed their first debate? Watch it again here. and for some commentary on the recent attack ads of Diane Denish against Susana Martinez see Diane Denish releases newest attack ad against Susana Martinez connecting her to Texas a state that has created 70% of American jobs since 2007.

I do not see anything from this debate being a game changer. Recent poll shows Susana up at the 50% mark while Diane is still in the low 40's at 42% see Liberal leaning Daily Kos/PPP polling has Susana Martinez up on Diane Denish 50-42. The Albuquerque Journal is suppose to be releasing their latest poll this weekend and hopefully Rasmussen will be coming out with there latest shortly.

Introducing Tim Scott and Allen West: Two Tea Party backed black conservative Republicans who both have a good chance at winning House seats.

For reports at Values Voter News on the two black tea party backed conservative Republican candidates in videos below on their primary election results see Election Results: Tea Party favorite and African American Allen West wins Florida's 22nd district by a land slide and Election results: Black Republican Tim Scott wins Republican party nominee 68% to 32% in heavily Republican district for congress. And for video of many more questions and answers from Tim Scott that Values Voter News would highly endorse see Video: Tea Party backed African American soon to be congressman Tim Scott speaks about Values and Race.

Here is another black conservative Tea Party backed Republican in Florida who is in a closer race than Tim Scott is in but is currently fairing well which may make two Tea Party backed black Republicans. Great speech on race. How is that for racism in the Tea Party movement? It is the very "racist" Tea Party movement that is shaking up both parties and putting race to the side and has made the character of the individual, the values and the issues of utmost important. In NM the Palin endorsed Susana Martinez is well on her way to becoming the first female Hispanic Governor in the US. See Liberal leaning Daily Kos/PPP polling has Susana Martinez up on Diane Denish 50-42. Not only that but the Tea Party has ample women who are soon to take office like never before also. If there ever was a movement that was about anything but race in actual election outcomes this is clearly one of them. Or in other words it is the Tea Party that is changing the face of the Republican party as more "diverse" than ever before by "diversity" standards over issues that have nothing to do with "diversity" but rather commonly held values.

Candidate Allen West had a You Tube hit of a sort with 2.2 million hits and counting in less than a year which you can watch below. By the way this was at one of those "racist" tea party events.

Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Watch second debate online and compilation of their first debate with pre-primary interviews

Update: Below is every debate between Susana Martinez and Diane Denish along with a link to one of the debates maybe the ugliest that I couldn't find to embed but found a link to.

Here is embedded video of their final debate in which they toned down quite a bit from the last debate. This is embedded video from CSPAN. For more on CSPAN see Private Sector America gives Americans the transparency they want without media bias for free and without taxation via CSPAN. By the way check out Breaking: CSPAN to cover live the case between our Government and Arizona on new illegal immigration law.

Update 10/18/2010: Here is link to their 3rd and first live debate at KOAT. This one was quite ugly if you ask me. Both came off looking like two teenagers bickering back and forth. It was like their campaign ads live. Maybe one of the ugliest debates I have seen. I have been watching a lot of debates and this one got off to an ugly start for the first 6 videos. Susana is really taking advantage of the poor record of Diane Denish with Richardson in NM but I hope she is not going over the top and turn some off. Below are the first two debates. My vote is with Susana but I hope she tones down some for the final debate. It's good to know we have a prosecutor to tackle Big Government in NM with and that may be just what we need but both candidates were ugly tonight if you ask me. I think they both lost no winners here. Diane brought an interesting new subject to the debate in Martinez's running mate in John Sanchez in hiring illegals which Martinez didn't respond to which may put her barely the winner of this ugly debate. Also Martinez did not answer the Texas issue. Values Voter News has see Diane Denish releases newest attack ad against Susana Martinez connecting her to Texas a state that has created 70% of American jobs since 2007. Texas policies are not the policies that put this country in the hole. I am not sure if this debate will change any tide in the polls as Martinez is well ahead but probably Diane's best show to date and she ended quite well as Martinez did not answer some of those claims. Liberal leaning Daily Kos/PPP polling has Susana Martinez up on Diane Denish 50-42.

Update 10/01/2010: Dude: Susana Martinez with a double digit lead and well on to becoming the first female Hispanic Governor in the US

Update: Here is link to recent poll showing Susana Martinez 50-42 over Diane Denish.

Again Susana Martinez is well on her way to becoming not only the first female Governor in New Mexico but the first Hispanic female Governor in any state in the US. Last week there was a dispute between internal polls between Susana Martinez and Diane Denish. Susana Martinez was claiming a 50-40 lead in the race as Diane Denish immediately responded with only a 5 point lead. To which the Susana Martinez campaign responded by standing behind their poll as accurate as their pollster was within 2 points of accurately predicting her primary results which she won by about 20 points and had this to say concerning the reputation of their pollster:

“In 2009, POS partners were named ‘Pollsters of the Year’ by the American Association of Political Consultants for polling conducted on behalf of Scott Brown for Senate in Massachusetts and Bob McDonnell for Governor in Virginia.”

Found this screen shot of results for preview to give you heads up from NMPolitics.net.

The Albuquerque Journal is suppose to be releasing their latest polls this weekend and I assume Rasmussen will be updating their poll shortly as Rasmussen and Albuquerque Journal last polls both had Susana Martinez up by 5% and 6% last month.

NMPolitics.net also has this run down on the other races in NM according to the recent Daily Kos/PPP polling report.
  • In the 1st Congressional District race, Heinrich leads Republican Jon Barela by 7 points, 50 percent to 43 percent.
  • In the 2nd Congressional District race, the race is essentially tied, with Republican Steve Pearce leading Democrat Harry Teague by 1 point, 48 percent to 47 percent.
  • In the 3rd Congressional District race, Democrat Ben Ray Luján leads Republican Tom Mullins by 6 points, 49 percent to 43 percent.

Daily Kos scratches PPP Polling report from web site showing Susana Martinez with an 8% lead over Diane Denish for NM Governor with no explanation why?

Update: Here is link to recent poll showing Susana Martinez 50-42 over Diane Denish.

Update: I think the Daily Kos is going to report the latest poll showing Susana Martinez up over Diane Denish 50-42 very soon. They have released two other poll results in NM district 2 and 3 just recently and I am guessing they will be releasing the NM Governor race polls. Found this screen shot for preview to give you heads up from NMPolitics.net.

Yesterday the NewMexicoIndependent.com reported that a new Daily Kos/PPP polling report showed Susana Martinez with an 8% point lead at 50-42. See headline titled Martinez leads Denish 50-42 says Daily Kos/PPP poll. In that article there is link to review the results of that poll at the Daily Kos which then pops up a page that says "Sorry, that poll could not be found.".

So why did they scratch that poll if they did? One possible reason could be because this would confirm in favor of Susana Martinez the answer to the debate between Democrat internal polling for Diane Denish that showed the race within 5 points and Susana Martinez internal polling that showing her up by 10 points last week (see Susana Martinez up by 10 points over Diane Denish in latest internal poll by GOP in New Mexico Governor race). The Daily Kos is known for its liberal slant.

Now there could be other possible explanations but this one is as valid as any other without so far any explanation. It could be that the NewMexicoIndependent.com mislinked and misreported on the poll finding. But the NewMexicoIndependent.com was so confident of the results they did a further article highlighting yet another contrast of another internal poll for Diane Denish showing the race in a virtual tie (see Internal poll says Denish/Martinez race tied) even noting a difference between the two polls: "Denish has much more support (13 points more) from Hispanics than the Daily Kos/PPP poll showed."

So even if it is a mislink I still can't find anything on the poll results at DailyKos.com as yet. We will have to wait and see.

NewMexicoIndependent.com has not reported any errors or updates on their site and neither has Daily Kos as of yet that I can see. I will update this post if explanations come forward.

The Albuquerque Journal is to be releasing their latest poll results this weekend I believe. So that result will be interesting in light of all the debating back and forth on exactly how much Martinez is in the lead or not. I am also looking forward to an update from Rasmussen. Rasmussen and the Albuquerque Journal had very similar results last month (see Latest poll results on NM Governor: Susana Martinez 45% to Diane Denish 39%).

Diane Denish releases newest attack ad against Susana Martinez connecting her to Texas a state that has created 70% of American jobs since 2007

See Texas Economy: Texas has created 70% of all US jobs since 2008. "And Texas has done all this with a government that has only met 90 days over the past two years and with no state income tax".

So what is so bad about the revelation that Martinez may be somewhat influenced by Texas politics. I think we could learn a thing or two from our neighbors. Susana Martinez will probably not be as conservative a Governor as a Texan Governor but it sure can't hurt to get some tips on how to create jobs without making Government bigger than it already is which is exactly what we need and it sure beats going the other way and our option in Diane Denish who herself has received out of state money from get this "$150,000 from Peabody Holding Company in St. Louis, Missouri which Peabody Holding Company is part of Peabody Energy, which operates coal mines in states including New Mexico."-source NMPolitics.Net. Not only that but from same article Diane Denish has raised some $865,000 from the Democratic Governor Association which isn't exactly NM grown. So this ad appears to be somewhat hypocritical on out of state money and what not.

Republican Governor in highly Democrat state of New Jersey has been able to balance an $11 billion state deficit which was the highest of any state without raising job killing taxes in New Jersey and he currently has an approval rating of 57% in New Jersey. So I have no problem with out of state money coming from the same Republican Governor Association for Martinez that went to support Governor Christie in New Jersey during his campaign in 2009 to beat Obama backed John Corzine.

You can watch his inspiring story below. A film that was made by an ex-Hilary Clinton supporter in the 2008 primaries. For more on that see New Jersey Governor Christie polling better then Obama in New Jersey and watch movie trailer of ex-volunteer film maker for Hillary Clinton's campaign now campaigning for Republicans

And by the way Republican Mayor Richard Berry has a high approval rating of 63% for banking on his promises to cut government. See more on that at Newly elected Republican Mayor Richard Berry of Albuquerque has 63% approval rating and only a 12% disapproval rating.

As far as the ad attacking Martinez on her two recent ads "bullying" a teacher and "misinformation" you can reference the Albuquerque Journal where in part the article is quoted of saying of the Martinez ad “The basic factual claims in the ad are true: Herb Denish was on Forest City Convington’s payroll, the company was the beneficiary of a huge tax break from the state and both Diane Denish and Richardson received big campaign cash from Forest City Convington.” (Sean Olson, “” The Albuquerque Journal, 9/17/10)". And concerning the "bullying" of the teacher you can see Values Voter News prior coverage at Susana Martinez attacked by new teacher union ad that uses a teacher whose husband Martinez convicted of kidnapping .

By the way the above article on campaign contributions has the teacher union who created the ad about the teacher giving some $250,000 to Denish and you may want to check out the unpopularity of teacher's unions in New Jersey under Governor Christie in New Jersey as he has stood up to teacher's unions (see Video: Governor Christie of New Jersey teaches by example how to take on teacher union supporters once again. Wow!!!) and check out this new movie done by the same maker of "An Inconvenient Truth" (making him hardly a conservative) on the problems of teacher's unions when it comes to reforming education.

See "Waiting for Superman" trailer.

And another recent documentary called The Lottery.

So what really matters is who the money is coming from and what successes or failures the organizations have produced with the candidates they have funded. All candidates are funded by out of state and in state financing.

Daily Kos/PPP Polling via NewMexicoIndependent.com report that Susana Martinez leads Diane Denish 50 - 42 but has been scratched from link and now shows a Diane Denish 1 point lead!!!

Update: Here is link to recent poll showing Susana Martinez 50-42 over Diane Denish.

Update Daily Kos scratches PPP Polling report from web site showing Susana Martinez with an 8% lead over Diane Denish for NM Governor with no explanation why?

Update Update Update!!!: I just posted this some 5 to 10 minutes ago and found my answer. There is no discrepancy between the polls. Upon further examination the poll "discrepancy" is answered by the fact that the poll report on the Barela and Heinrich report is just for that District 1 of New Mexico. It is still very curious as why Daily Kos/PPP polling has taken down the Susana Martinez and Diane Denish poll however which led to some of the confusion I had which still demands an explanation. I can not find any report of it on the DailyKos.com at all. I am currently checking the site however to find a link to the Susana Martinez 8% lead report which has been scratched from the site apparently. Could this have anything to do with the recent debate over the credibility of the Martinez campaign polling verses the Denish campaign polling? See Susana Martinez up by 10 points over Diane Denish in latest internal poll by GOP in New Mexico Governor race. I will produce a new post cleaning this up some and reporting more on the scratched link to the Susana Martinez and Diane Denish poll results.

Major poll discrepancy that has yet to be explained in New Mexico election races for Governor and NM first district via NewMexicoIndependent.com and Daily Kos/PPP polling.

NewMexicoIndependent.com had this headliner yesterday titled Martinez leads Denish 50-42 says Daily Kos/PPP poll. This morning when I saw the headline of the Jon Barela and Martin Heinrich race showing Barela down by 7% (see Heinrich leads Barela 50-43, Daily Kos/PPP poll says) and I then clicked on the link in that article for the poll results and noticed that at the top it showed the results of Diane Denish and Susana Martinez showing Diane up by 1%. So then I went back to the headline reporting Martinez up 50-42 and clicked on the poll results and got this page that said "Sorry, that poll could not be found."

So at some point yesterday the NewMexicoIndependent.com either misreported a huge lead for Martinez that really was a small lead for Diane Denish or the Daily Kos did and took it down and now has Diane Denish up by 1%?

Now the NewMexicoIndependent.com did another report on a Democrat internal poll that showed the race tied even as the Daily Kos/PPP poll showed an 8% lead for Susana Martinez which is more consistent with internal polls from the Martinez campaign (see Values Voter News recent coverage of that controversy at Susana Martinez up by 10 points over Diane Denish in latest internal poll by GOP in New Mexico Governor race). You can access that report here at NewMexicoIndependent.com in headliner titled Internal poll says Denish/Martinez race tied.

Now this causes me to doubt the Martin Heinrich and Jon Barela poll results showing Martin up by 7% for it is on the same page that shows Diane Denish up by one point. This should be huge news and yet no discussion in local politics in New Mexico yet. Now it could be to early and I may be the first to notice this and an explanation will be forth coming later today so in hopes of encouraging an explanation I do post this blog.

The Daily Kos/PPP polling is clearly not a conservative source by any means but none the less many pay attention to liberal blogs and polling groups also and so an explanation is warranted especially in such close races in New Mexico. I do not wish to accuse of any tampering with elections via a liberal polling group but if no explanation is given it sure leaves the door open to that possible explanation as much as any other.

It is possible that there has already been an explanation but I have yet to be able to find it at NewMexicoIndependent.com nor at Daily Kos nor at PPP Polling. I will update this post as I am able to locate an explanation.

It could be that I am misreading something here also so that is why I posted the links for evidence of what I am perceiving.

The House and Senate Agenda for this week

Also, to watch some of the below Committees in action and video of the House and Senate floor go to CSPAN. For more on CSPAN see Private Sector America gives Americans the transparency they want without media bias for free and without taxation via CSPAN..

House and Senate Cloakroom: September 27 – October 1, 2010

House Cloakroom: September 27 – October 1, 2010

Analysis:

The House will be in its final week of action before recessing until after the election. The target adjournment had been October 8th, but with a tough election cycle ahead and holdups on legislation in the Senate, House leaders are pushing to get their members home to campaign. The main floor action that needs to be taken before they recess, though, is the Continuing Resolution (CR) to appropriate funds to keep the government running until sometime in November. This vote could happen either Wednesday or Thursday this week as the new fiscal year begins October 1st and none of the regular appropriations bills have been cleared. The House may consider a child nutrition bill as well. Members will now leave town without a vote on stopping the largest tax hike in history. The Heritage Foundation recently released a report detailing the Obama tax hikes devastating impacts at the national, state, and congressional district level.
Major Floor Action
  • Continuing Resolution (CR)
  • HR 5409 – Residential Construction Lending Act
  • HR 5504 – Improving Nutrition for America’s Children Act

Senate Cloakroom: September 27 – October 1, 2010

Analysis:
After a slow week, the Senate will reconvene today with no clear agenda for what is presumed to be their last week in Washington before the November elections. After not accomplishing as much as was expected last week, this week’s agenda is still slightly unclear. There will be a procedural vote today on legislation sponsored by Senator Durbin (the Creating American Jobs and Ending Offshoring Act), but beyond that, the Floor schedule still seems to be in flux. The only remaining must-pass legislation before adjourning until November is a continuing resolution (CR). The new fiscal year begins on October 1, and as of now, no appropriations bills have been passed. It is still not clear if Senator Reid will pass a clean CR, or if some Members will try to pack the legislation with unrelated pork.

Senator Reid announced last Thursday that the Senate would not consider any legislation regarding the 2001/2003 tax provisions (scheduled to expire on January 1, 2011) before the midterm elections.
Democrats are very split on this issue, with Senators Bayh, Conrad, and Nelson (NE) being the most outspoken Members of their caucus to support full extension for all income levels. Expect an interesting Floor debate during the lame duck session in November.
